Board of Directors of Citizens’ Co-operative Bank resumes office

JAMMU, Nov 18: The Board of Directors of The Citizens’ Co-operative Bank Limited, Jammu under the leadership of its Chairman Dinesh Gupta resumed the office in presence of large number of share holders, depositors and staff of the Bank.
The Board of Directors said that the cooperative movement is people’s movement and its management is to be rest within the hands of democratically elected members.
They said that the Board always believes in democratic set up and even the present Board was elected with the majority support and blessings of its share holder. The Board had already written to the Registrar Cooperative Societies, J&K for conducting fresh elections as the Board completely believes in democratic set up for the smooth functioning of the Bank, they added.
They laid stress on strengthening the cooperative movement in the State which is people’s movement. They exhorted upon the staff of the bank to work with zeal so that the position of this Bank can be improved.
Board of Directors appealed all the members, depositors and customers of the Bank to transact all their business with The Citizens’ Cooperative Bank which is their own bank and is the largest and older Urban Cooperative Bank in the State.
