KATHUA, Dec 27: Block Medical Officer, Bani was among three medical employees who were seriously injured in ambulance accident at Choota Morh on Bani -Basohli road today.
The accident took place when an ambulance from Bani on way to Jammu , reached on sharp curves at Choota Morh after the driver lost the control due to technical failure and the vehicle rolled down into deep gorge . Fortunately a passenger bus was also coming just some yards back and immediately it stopped and passengers started rescue operations. All the three injured travelling in the Ambulance were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Basohli in a private car.
At the Basohli hospital they were given the first aid and shifted to AMC Kathua.
The Kathua hospital also provided them medical aid and referred them to GMC Jammu. The injured are identified as Block Medical Officer Bani, Dr Balkari Lal son of Chuni Lal resident of Greater Kailash, Jammu, Vijay Abrol (Threatre Assistant) son of Sat Pal resident of Bani and Ambulance driver, Deep Lal son Girdhari Lal resident of Roulka, Bani.
The BMO Bani, Dr Balkari Lal was shifted to Ludhiana and Vijay Abrol to Amritsar. The Basohli police has registered a case under relevant Sections and started investigation into the matter.
