JAMMU, Nov 8: To make people aware about the importance of maintaining cleanliness, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) today presented its 23rd musical play “Swachh Bharat” at Durga Bhawan, Janipur.
The play was written and directed by ML Dogra, chairman, BLSKS while the music was composed by Raju Bajgal.
The program was inaugurated by the chief guest, VK Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
Dr Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, State Health Department, RP Amla, Information Department, Dr Anju Dogra of Health Department and Vijay Malla, Director Producer of IPTA were guest of honours.
Nukkad nataks, skits, songs and dances were presented to aware the masses about the importance of cleanliness. The program was presented in coordination with Ek Sath Rang Mandal, Unison Culture Troupe and Mukta Theatre Art.
Earlier, in his welcome speech, ML Dogra, highlighted the event and repeated the words of PM Narendra Modi that Swachh Bharat mission is beyond politics. It is inspired by patriotism and not politics. The dream of Bapu Ji was not only free but also clean and developed India.
The renowned artists Usha Handoo, MC Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta and Shivani Disgotra enthralled the audiences with their performances and cleaning the whole premises of Durga Bhawan.
