JAMMU, June 30: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) here today staged a cultural programme for Amarnath pilgrims and performed musical play ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ in coordination with the Department of Tourism.
The function was inaugurated by lighting of ceremonial lamp by chief guest, Davinder Chadha, Head Pujari, Durga Bhawan Jammu.
V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity; K.K Joshi, vice chairman BLSKS; Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director J&K Health Department; J.K Raina, Freelance Producer Director; Dr. Anju Dogra, from Health Department and Vinod Dogra, Chief Service Engineer, Exide were guests of honour.
The traditional folk culture of Jammu and special awareness items prepared on the theme of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ and ‘Swachh Bharat’ were also presented.
The songs sung by the artists included ‘Shiv Satuti’, ‘Shiv Nath Teri Mahima’, ‘Kali Mata Bawe Basdi’ etc.
The chief guest talked on Shri Amarnath Yatra while M.L Dogra, chairman, BLSKS threw light on the story of Amar Katha.
The welcome address was given by Rajni Gupta.
Artists who performed in the musical play were Usha Handoo, Sanjeev Kumar, Chahat Chadha, Bindia Okheda, Vandana Gupta, Ujwal Sharma, Rahul Kumar, and others.
Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks.
