JAMMU, Aug 19: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sanasthan (BLSKS) staged 170th Saturday Series Musical Play “Khushaali Ki Aur” in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production, as parts of its regular feature at Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu.
The program was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr Tara Singh Charak while V K Magotra, Dr Anju Dogra and Vinod Dogra were the guests of honour. Speaking on the occasion chief guest lauded the role of BLSKS-(NGO) for underlining the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the State to generate awareness among the masses about various social evils through musical plays, theatre and drama which are still very powerful medium of communication.
“Khushaali Ki Aur”, musical play, written, produced and directed by M L Dogra (Chairman BLSKS) highlighted the importance of the literacy and education in the civilized society with removal of superstitions and social evils. The program commenced with the songs “Sabhne the Sath aje the Bakh ” ,Suno Suno Aye Bhart Walo Hum Sub Ek Saman Hai”, ” Ham Sab Ek Hain “,”Tum Chandan Hum Pani”, “Koi Bole Ram Koi Allah Bole” and “Ek Humari June; Ek Hamara Khoon”. The music of the play was composed by Raju Bajgal.
Welcoming the dignitaries V K Magotra ,MD, BLSKS, poke about the prevailing social evils in the society and called for collective efforts to remove them from the society. The singers, musician, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed were Usha Handoo, M C Kotwal, K K Joshi, Rajni Gupta, Parul Sharma, Renu Saproo, Deevam Jandiyal, Nitin Sharma, Ananya, Dhruv Pandit, Bhuvan Pandit, Afroz Raaz, Rajeev, Paya, Mitali,Vansh Raina, Rohit, Darshan and Yog Raj. The Vice Chairman, K K Joshi presented vote of thanks.
