JAMMU, Aug 26: On Women’s Equality Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production here today presented musical concert ‘Nari Shakti’.
The programme was inaugurated by chief guest, Vijay Kumar Chandel, former Deputy Superintendent of Police while the guest of honour was Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director J&K Health Department.
Programmes of primitive folk, art and culture of J&K were performed on this occasion.
The songs presented were ‘Jago Jago Mere Desh Ki Betio, Beti Bachao Beti Padao’ etc.
The chief guest talked on ending discrimination with women.
The programme was recorded and uploaded online on social media to aware masses.
On this occasion Sudesh Manhas was honored by Dr. M.L Dogra, BLSKS Chairman.
Welcome speech was given by Dr. M.L Dogra.
Singers, musician, actors and students of Music and Computer Institute who participated in the musical play were K.K Joshi, M.C Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Sant Dass and others.
