JAMMU, Oct 30: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production presented Dogri Musical Concert ‘Ekta Ka Diya’ on the theme ‘National Unity Day’.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity.
Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director Health Department was the guest of honour and renowned artists staged colourful cultural programme depicting the concepts of secularism.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest said National Unity Day is celebrated on October 31 every year to mark the birth anniversary of Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
He said, Sardar Patel played a major role in the integration of India.
The programme started with songs composed by renowned music teacher Master Raju Bajgal.
Artists of BLSKS also presented songs on ‘Ekta Ekta Ka Diya’ written by M.L Dogra and recorded and uploaded on social media for general public.
Welcome speech was given by M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS.
The artists and students of Music and Computer Institute who participated in the musical concert were K.K Joshi, M.C Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar, Chahat Chadha and others.
