JAMMU, Nov 8: To observe the National Cancer Awareness Day-2022, Bharatiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) organized a three day awareness campaign and in this regard presented musical series play ‘Cancer Kola Bacho’ in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Dr. Naresh Sharma of J&K Health Department.
Among guests of honour were V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity and J.K Parihar, former Music Instructor, Song and Drama Division.
Songs like ‘Bacho Bacho Cancer Kola Bacho’ etc were sung, Nukkad plays and skits staged and dances were performed to aware the masses.
The chief guest said that World Cancer Day is observed to make the people aware about risk factors and preventive measures of the disease.
A handout stated that during three days of special awareness campaign BLSKS will present three shows in Jhiri, Mishriwala and Bawa Talab villages.
Welcome speech was given by Dr. M.L Dogra, chairman, BLSKS.
