Black-marketing bid of GREF bitumen foiled, 2 arrested

RAJOURI, Nov 17: Foiling a bid to black-marketing bitumen meant for use of General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF), Nowshera Police seized an official vehicle and twenty four barrels of bitumen which were being transported to a private mixing plant.
As per police spokesman, information of suspicious movement of a GREF tipper in Dandesar village of Nowshera was received after which a team headed by SHO Nowshera Inspector Pankaj Sharma intercepted the vehicle at a private mixing plant in Nowshera.
Twenty four barrels of bitumen from the spot which were being sold to the private mixing plant namely Krishna Hot Mixing Plant. The vehicle was also seized.
Two persons were arrested, who were identified as Daleep Kumar (driver) of Gambhir Brahmana and Rattan Sharma of Gambhir Brahmana.
A case under FIR Number 236/2021 under Sections 109 and 409 IPC has been registered at Police Station Nowshera and investigation has been initiated.
