JAMMU, Oct 13: Bharatiya Kissan Sangh, J&K unit president, Subash Dasgotra has demanded construction of roads in rural areas at par with the City.
In a statement issued here, Dasgotra said construction of roads in the City was good but in rural areas, the Works Department was resorting to only patch work, which was sheer injustice with the people living in the rural areas including the border belt.
He regretted that the rural areas were being ignored, where the roads were required the most.
“While construction of roads in the City is a welcome step, the rural areas shouldn’t be deprived of their due rights,” he said and urged the Government to immediately order construction of roads in the rural areas instead of patch work.
