JAMMU, Mar 20: Senior PCC leader and former Minister Raman Bhalla today alleged that good governance slogans of BJP have proved hollow and were actually meant for just grabbing power in the State.
Addressing meeting at village Dharap in Gandhi Nagar Constituency today, Mr Bhalla said that the present political instability in the State is the outcome of the failure on the part of BJP and even PDP. Both BJP and PDP exploited the sentiments of the people and raised hollow slogans for the sake of grabbing power and the result is total failure and present political crisis.
They formed unholy alliance to share power, leaving aside their election agendas and promises but the only common thing between them was to gain power. The people had not accepted their u-turn, in total contrast to their respective stands during elections and turned against them for their opportunist policy.
Mr Bhalla said that BJP stands exposed for its failure to represent the sentiments and safeguard the rights of the people of Jammu region and now trying to find excuses, after their utter failure and worst ever betrayal of the faith of the people, especially on the slogans of the party for over six decades to follow the principles of `Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’.
He said that people are suffering a lot for the day today problems due to failure of their representatives to address their issues like electricity, water and other developmental works which have come to stand still.
Mr Bhalla said that the ration supply system has been totally derailed due to the hasty and credit taking decision of the BJP and PDP Govt causing great hardships to the people. The implementation of Food Security Act without taking adequate measures to get the adequate quota of ration from the Centre to maintain the existing rates for those who are not being covered under NFSA, was a wrong and hasty decision. He asked the Govt to ensure the supply of ration to the people as per already existing scales to mitigate their hardships.
