BJP withdraws proceedings against 8 leaders

JAMMU, Oct 2: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has withdrawn the proceedings against eight senior party leaders from Kashmir Valley after they tendered an unconditional apology that they will not indulge in indisciplinary activities in future.
This was stated in a party handout issued here, today by Chairman Disciplinary Committee BJP and chief spokesperson of the party, Sunil Sethi.
The eight party leaders against whom disciplinary proceedings were initiated by the party included
Dr. Ali Mohammad, G M Mir, Altaf Thakur, Manzoor Ahmed, Arif Raza ,Bilal Parray ,Anwar Khan and Asif Masoodi.
The party said in response to notice issued to them, they have submitted their unconditional apology for their conduct and have also given undertaking not to repeat such conduct in future and not to indulge in anti party activities or conduct of indiscipline.
It further said being satisfied with apology and keeping in view their past standing and contribution to the party , the Disciplinary Committee has decided to close proceedings against them with direction to them to be bound by their undertaking failing which strict action will be taken. Committee recommended to president to closer of proceedings against them.
