SUCHETGARH, Feb 9: DDC Member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony claimed that BJP will have to pay heavy price for the conspiracy which it has allegedly “knitted against Jats and Sikhs through delimitation ploy.”
Addressing a meeting here, Tony said if BJP will not revisit its decision in Suchetgarh, the entire population will boycott the Party in all ensuing elections including that of UT Assembly.
Tony said that BJP has been exposed fully for reshaping constituencies in ‘connivance’ with Delimitation Commission to suit the requirement of its proposed candidates.
“Today the situation on ground is that all the communities are up in arms against BJP as all are feeling cheated at the hands of BJP’s Delimitation Draft,” the DDC member maintained adding, if Delimitation Commission claims to be honest and judicious, they should come before the public and justify how the constituencies have been created against the wishes of the people, who are the real stakeholders.
Later, the meeting decided a massive protest against the “illogical” shaping of the constituencies by the Delimitation Commission.
It was also decided to fight tooth and nail to mount pressure on Delimitation Commission to revisit its plan of merger of Suchetgarh constituency.
