JAMMU, Jan 18: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former J&K Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today said that the youth have a decisive role to take Jammu and Kashmir out of morass of disappointment and hopelessness that had been created by the BJP-led Government at the Centre through its wrong policies.
She expressed gratitude to the party workers from across Jammu for standing with the people of Kashmir at the time when people have been pushed to walls and their rights curtailed in the name of security. Praising her party workers, Mehbooba said it is heartening to see the dream of party founder Mufti Mohammad Sayeed becoming a reality with each passing day.

“I am seeing concern for people of Kashmir growing in Jammu. Mufti wanted to see the two regions stand together and understand each other’s pain. This is happening today,” she said.
Addressing a large gathering of youth from border belt of RS Pura at the Party head office Jammu Mehbooba said that BJP-led government has turned entire J&K into a laboratory where experiments are conducted on daily basis.
“Our youth have been pushed into hopelessness. They (BJP) have connived with big corporate houses and industrialists to exploit and loot the resources of Jammu and Kashmir. Big corporate houses coming to J&K are hiring people from outside while our unemployed youth are moving from pillar to post for livelihood. They want us to become so poor that we become totally dependent on other states,” the PDP president said.
She was addressing a large number of political workers who joined PDP under former Vice Chairman Bhushan Lal Dogra here.
Mehbooba said the PDP can’t alone take this fight to a logical end and the youth will have to come forward to play a decisive role. “These are the times of the youth, for the youth. The mantle of responsibility has befallen the youth of J&K to shape a brighter future and secure our rights for the coming generations. We will have to unitedly fight against the forces which are bent on ruining our future,” She added.
