JAMMU, Dec 19: Jammu & Kashmir BJP leaders in a meeting held at Party Headquarter, discussed the issue of extending help to beneficiaries of “Ayushman Bharat Scheme”, which was chaired by BJP State general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul.
Ashok Kaul, while terming “Ayushman Bharat Scheme” as one more gift of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to the poor and needy, said that it is a National Health Protection Scheme for securing the health of poor population. He said that the scheme will help people from lower economic strata in case of secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. He asked the party leaders to mobilize BJP’s ground activists to ensure the implementation of scheme while apprising that approximate 50 crore people will get coverage of upto 5 lakh rupees per family per year under the scheme.
Kaul asked BJP leaders to frame ward wise teams comprising of BJP volunteers to be led by respective ward presidents to reach up to beneficiaries of the scheme while ensuring that nobody whose name is enrolled in the list is left out due to lack of information or faces difficulty in paper work.
The meeting decided that the party will hold ward wise camps in coming days to ensure that the beneficiaries must get the facility to enrol themselves in their wards itself. It was stressed that this move will increase in the compliance and success of the scheme thus fulfilling its purpose on ground providing good healthcare facilities to the downtrodden population in their ailments. It was stressed that the BJP will take all necessary steps to facilitate the implementation of scheme at ground level.

Meeting was attended by BJP State general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi, MLC Vikram Randhawa, State spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, State office incharge, Tilak Raj Gupta, State Media Incharge & State press secretary, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, State convenor of Health & Medical Cell, Gurdyal Singh Bali and district Jammu West vice-president, Puneet Mahajan.
