‘Cong betrayed people for 70 years’

PULWAMA, July 28: Maintaining that people of Kashmir have identified themselves with the Narendra Modi’s mantra of Sabka Saath , Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K UT president, Ravinder Raina today exuded confidence that his party will form the next Government in J&K.
Addressing a party Working Committee meeting in South Kashmir district of Pulwama today along with BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul, Raina said the next Chief Minister in the UT will be from his party. There is a sea change in Kashmir Valley now as people are fed up with terrorism and violence and they want peace and progress. This is the reason that people are openly coming under BJP fold as they are confident that only this party can give a clean and people’s friendly Government after they were betrayed by other political parties for decades together, he added.
He said during their tour of Kashmir Valley people in large numbers in Shopian, Pulwama , Tral, Anantnag and other parts joined BJP as they have realized that it is the only party which believes in the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas.
Highlighting various welfare schemes and measures of Modi Government, he said Ayushman Bharat , free vaccination to all , construction of medical colleges , roads , hospitals, sanctioning of water supply schemes etc are few to mention and these projects will prove game changer for the people of UT.
Accusing Congress of misleading the people of J&K for seven decades, Raina said party was responsible for the miseries of people which are the result of the follies of their leadership from time to time. Had they not committed the Himalayan blunders there would have been no crisis in J&K, he added.
He assured the people that BJP after coming to power in J&K will work with honesty and dedication for betterment of the people so that no one is deprived of his rights.
Raina said Kashmir suffered a lot over last three decades and BJP will try to heal up the scars of the people with good governance and pro people’s policies.
He said BJP is confident of getting 20 Assembly seats from Kashmir Valley while it will sweep the entire Jammu region in the next polls to form the Government in the UT. He expressed the hope that the people of Valley in future will give same sort of love and affection to his party so that the lotus will bloom in every nook and corner of Valley.
Party South Kashmir in charge Veer Saraf, spokesperson, Altaf Thakur and other senior leaders also attended the meet.
