Addressing party workers while campaigning for party’s candidate Er Aijaz Ahmad from the Lal Chowk Assembly constituency, Madhav termed the elections as historic and alleged that the National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) were receiving support from ex-militants and terrorists in their election campaigning.
“This is going to be a historic election in J&K. For the first time since becoming a Union Territory, the Prime Minister will hand over the Government to you. This hand must belong to patriots, not those who brought terrorism, those who want to restore Article 370, suppress you, and rule you again,” he said.
Madhav emphasized that the Government must be formed by those who want to bring peace and development to J&K and follow the path outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He urged workers to work hard in the next 20 days to ensure the victory of Er Aijaz. “Send him to the Assembly, and he will be there as the representative of Narendra Modi; BJP will form the Government in J&K and will emerge as the largest front.”
Madhav said that the families responsible for the suffering of the people of J&K must be defeated, and new leadership committed to the betterment of the people must emerge.
“They must be shown the door, and a new leadership will emerge. Those who want peace, do not support terrorism, and want progress-such new people and parties will emerge in Kashmir.”
The BJP leader alleged that the NC and PDP are receiving support from ex-militants and are trying to take J&K back to its troubled past, which, he said, is evident in their manifestos. He urged people to come forward and defeat them.
“We remind people about these parties. They want to push J&K back to what it was facing, and that is clear in their manifestos. I see and hear that they are getting help from ex-militants for election campaigning. They want to take J&K back to the past. They need to be defeated,” he said.
Madhav stated that the people of Jammu wholeheartedly support BJP, assuring that the party will secure no less than 35 seats in Jammu, and urged workers to strive for 10 more seats in Kashmir.
“The people of Jammu are with BJP; I assure you that in Jammu, we will bag no less than 35 seats. I request you to aim for 10 more seats in Kashmir. Once that is achieved, history will be made, and for the first time, BJP will form the Government,” he said.
He continued: “People in Kashmir have seen how the BJP Government works with justice and how Modi ensures that the benefits of progress reach everyone without bias.”
Madhav stressed that the party needs to advance further in Kashmir, starting with winning the Lal Chowk Assembly seat. “Lal Chowk is the symbol of Kashmir, and the BJP flag must fly there. Aijaz will become BJP’s first legislator in Kashmir, making history.”
He also noted that the Lok Sabha elections instilled trust among people in the electoral process. “Democracy has a place for everyone; this election will be transparent and peaceful. The Lok Sabha elections have instilled trust in the election process.”
