NEW DELHI, July 6: BJP Uttar Pradesh State President and Member of Parliament, Keshav Prasad Mourya today called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh and discussed a wide range of issues related to various ongoing works in the State as well as political scenario in the light of the upcoming Assembly elections in the State early next year.
Mourya told Dr Jitendra Singh that the BJP is very comfortably poised to win the State elections and secure a huge majority in the 403 member State Assembly. He said, there is a strong anti-incumbency feeling against the Akhilesh Yadav Government and people look up to BJP for redemption.
Considering the importance of the UP State Assembly elections, Mourya said, the entire organization has put up its full might  and as the election time gets closer, there will be a huge popular wave in support of BJP.
Mourya also discussed a number of ongoing Central Government schemes as well as new schemes planned for the State of Uttar Pradesh. He called upon the Central Government to push these schemes with full impetus even if, at times, there is not adequate cooperation coming forth from the State Government.
Dr Jitendra Singh assured Mourya of every possible cooperation in carrying forward the developmental agenda for the State of Uttar Pradesh. He said, the Modi government believes in equitable development of every region and part of the country, and is committed to assure that every State gets a fair deal. He also hoped that with Mourya as the State BJP President, the organization will succeed in achieving its targets in the forthcoming Assembly Polls.
