JAMMU, Dec 25: Celebr-ating “Sushasan Diwas (Good Governance Day)” on the birthday of former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna, Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee , BJP organized several programmes across the UTs of J&K and Ladakh today which were attended by senior party leaders and prominent social personalities.
The main event of “Good Governance Day” at the UT level was jointly organized by BJP district Jammu and district Jammu West, at party State Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar. The event was addressed by BJP State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, former MLC Ashok Khajuria, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, former Minister Sat Sharma and State general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi. Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta, Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra, Ramesh Arora, Gyan Singh and Mohan Singh also spoke on the occasion.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina, addressed a massively attended programme organized to remember the glorious contributions of Atal Ji to the nation at Akhnoor. Former MLA, Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma, former MLA Khour, Krishan Lal, district president, Akhnoor Jagdish Bhagat, president MC Akhnoor, Depesh Singh Pawar, Sapanchs, Panchs, Mahila Morcha leaders and other social and political activists of the region.
Ravinder Raina, discussed the life history of Atal Ji and enlightened gathering about his glorious achievements as Prime Minister. He said Atal Ji took the developmental pace to new heights, by the way of Saksharta Mission, Chaturbhuj, the endeavour of linking all the villages through the roads, the Pokhran nuclear tests and then winning the Kargil war not only on battlefield but on the table also, which was always lost during earlier battles. Today, his agenda of development is taken forward by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi which was started by Atal Ji, he added.
Ashok Khajuria, said that Atal Ji provided a model of good governance to the world and we literally have to reach the benchmark set up by him to meet the public expectations.
Ashok Kaul threw light on the life history and struggle of Atal Ji. He emphasized his role in the “Praja Parishad Andolan” of 1953 under the great ideologue, Shyama Prasad Mookherjee.
Kavinder Gupta, termed the life of Atal Ji as exemplary & noteworthy and said that we can learn many things from a single chapter of his life.
Sat Sharma, spoke on the importance of “Sushasan Diwas”. Similar programmes on the birthday of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee were organized by BJP Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, Kissan Morcha and State SC Morcha. Rajiv Charak, Rajni Sethi, former Minister Bali Bhagat, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Sanjay Baru, Rajinder Sharma, Arvind Gupta, Praduman Singh, Veenu Khanna, Balbir Ram Rattan, Ashwani Chrungoo, Tilak Raj Gupta, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Jugal Dogra, Bawa Sharma, Prem Gupta, Parneesh Mahajan, Surinder Choudhary, Adv. Chander Mohan Sharma, Kulbhushan Mohtra, Pushpa Wazir, Naresh Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
BJP State vice-president, Rajeev Charak accompanied by local JMC Councilor Sharda and other senior party leaders distributed blankets to the fire affected victims of Sheikh Nagar, Bahu Fort, Jammu on the occasion.
BJP State secretary & councilor Ward No. 41, Sanjay Baru organized a programme on “Sushasan Diwas” in Wazir Lane, Bohri in the presence of former party State president & former Minister, Sat Sharma. Munish Sharma, Ayodhya Gupta, Keshav Chopra, Ravish Mengi and other prominent people were present on the occasion.
State spokesperson & former Minister. Priya Sethi addressed a programme as chief guest at Udhampur. Balwan Singh, Puran Chand, Rakesh Gupta, Vikash Sharma and others were among the prominent present in the programme.
BJP Kashmir Displaced District organized a seminar and Rally at Community Hall, Jagti township, Nagrota in the leadership of its district President Triloki Nath Bhat and attended by senior functionaries of the party.
BJP State Incharge party’s All Morchas Munish Sharma in a programme organized by Jammu Rural district, along with district president, Rajinder Singh Chib, former Minister, Bali Bhagat, Karan Singh, Nand Kishore, Mandal presidents and other senior leaders from the district paid tributes to Atal Ji at Bua Datti Palace, Muthi Paloura.
