JAMMU, July 18: Former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said that opportunistic parties BJP and PDP hobnobbed with each other for lust of power and created political instability after failing on deliverance front.
The present situation is the manifestation of the unholy agenda the two parties carried out, as a result of which the State is at the cross roads of history. This was observed by Bhalla while interacting with prominent persons of Qasim Nagar in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Bhalla said PDP and BJP pushed the State to the wall and “both parties were now shedding crocodile tears in a vain bid to make themselves politically relevant. PDP and BJP are exposed before people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh,” he said and cautioned to maintain vigil against their “machinations”. He said the two parties were “terribly desperate” after losing power.
Bhalla urged the Governor’s administration to address people’s problems which have accumulated during the past three and half year’s “misrule”. He said the power and drinking water supply is erratic in Jammu division and people were at the receiving end, especially during the current scorching summers. “The utility services are also in disarray as the anti-people Government has virtually left the entire population in the lurch,” Bhalla said.
Terming three years alliance a mere piece of paper and eyewash to hoodwink electorate, Bhalla slammed the BJP-PDP coalition, which remained in power for three years, charging it with creating more problems than resolving them. Their tenure have proved that they have created more controversies, problems and issues rather than solving any problem or resolving any issue. This Govt created more controversies than settling the existing ones and created more wedge between different sections and regions than bridging the gaps.
Terming the tenure of Coalition Government as an example of complete betrayal as all their poll promises proved to be hollow, Bhalla said despite getting huge mandate from Jammu and Kashmir respectively, PDP-BJP failed to deliver on single platform because of their indulgent in personal issues putting the State into lurch. He alleged that the PDP-BJP Govt had become a “non-performing liability”.
