BJP plays divisive politics to grab power: Mula Ram

JAMMU, Nov 25: Former Minister and Congress candidate from Raipur-Domana, Mula Ram has alleged that BJP leaders were playing divisive politics in the State to grab power.
Addressing series of public meetings at Badrore, Batehra, Jagota, Sano Talab and Patta Paloura in Raipur- Domana constituency Shri Mula Ram, former Minister lashed out at the BJP for its divisive and communal politics.
He said the people are not going to be misled by propaganda aimed at dividing them on communal lines. He warned the BJP that it should desist from dividing people belonging to different regions which will be detrimental not only to the unity of J&K but also to national unity. Their advertisements in the print and electronic media display such short sightedness.
He has drawn comparison between the glorious history of 123 year old Congress with the BJP whose mother organization, the RSS played a different role during the freedom struggle when Congressmen were making innumerable sacrifices and suffering untold hardships. He said it was a matter of great pride for Congress workers that they belonged to the party of Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He also ridiculed the BJP for omitting the demand of Article 370 from its poll manifesto which shows that BJP has finally realized that Article 370 cannot be done away with.
Senior party leader H S Chib his address said that the Raipur-Domana constituency is lagging behind in the field of development. The roads are in dilapidated condition, the power supply infrastructure such as electric poles & electric wires are old and require replacement, the electric transformers require to be upgraded and the development is standstill. He appealed the people to support Congress party for the peace progress and prosperity of the area.
