BJP pays tributes to martyrs of Praja Parishad movement

Jammu, Jan 31: BJP leaders here today at Jourian paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of 1953 Praja Parishad movement of ‘Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan’.
A large number of BJP activists from different parts of Akhnoor and Jourian attended the function where BJP leaders including former Deputy CM, Dr. Nirmal Singh, Rajeev Sharma, Dr. Krishan Lal and others were also present.
These leaders laid wreaths at the Shaheedi Sthal, a memorial constructed in memory of seven martyrs-Mela Ram, Baryam Singh, Baldev Singh, Basantlike Ram, Nanak Chand, Trilok Singh and Sain Singh.
Rajeev Sharma while paying tributes said, these martyrs laid down their lives for the complete integration of the State with the rest of the country and opposed the provision of separate flag and separate constitution for J&K State.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that Modi Government has taken a number of path breaking decisions and there is zero tolerance towards corruption at present.
The gathering was also addressed by Dr. Krishan Lal Bhagat, Daljeet Singh Chib, Manmohan Singh and Sat Pal Kakushah.
