BJP NE meets tomorrow

JAMMU, Sept 23: Some senior Party leaders of BJP including MPs and legislators from the State have reached the Union Capital to participate in National Executive meeting being held on September 25 there.
The National Executive will be preceded by preparatory meeting tomorrow which will be attended by BJP presidents and organizational general secretaries of all the states, party sources told Excelsior.
During the preparatory meeting which will be chaired by National president of BJP, Amit Shah the agenda for National Executive and resolutions to be adopted in it on September 25 will be discussed threadbare.
Sources said it will be an Extended National Executive meet this time during which a special session will be held on the conclusion of former Jana Sangh president, Pt. Deendayal Upadayay’s birth centenary celebrations. The BJP MPs and MLAs from all the states of the country are special invitees in it, sources added.
Sources said that on the sidelights of the National Executive the prevailing situation with the leaders from J&K State and change of portfolios of ministers will come for discussion in view of the brewing public resentment against some BJP ministers in the coalition Government in the State.
It may be recalled that the Party had deputed three senior leaders including two national general secretaries Ram Lal and Ram Madhav and national vice president, Avinash Rai Khanna to take stock of the situation in the State following the resentment shown by a cross section of people before Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh during his recent visit to the trouble –torn State.
The national leaders who took the stock of the situation during their tour of the State have submitted their report to Amit Shah and during the sidelight of National Executive the threadbare discussions will be held on a possible reshuffle in BJP Ministry with the State leadership by Shah, sources said.
Sources said the National Executive of BJP meets after a gap of every three months to review the progress on previous resolutions and decisions made by it, working of government and organizational matters. The future course of action is also taken and new resolutions are adopted.
The NE meet will be presided over by Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders of the Party and his Cabinet colleagues will also attend it.
Sources said that the senior leaders of the BJP from State including its president Sat Sharma, general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul, who are the National Executive members, have already reached the Union Capital to participate in the preparatory meet tomorrow. Union MoS, Dr Jitendra Singh who is also the NE Member is already in Delhi.
However, some legislators of the Party have also reached the Union Capital.
Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, who is also the Member of National Executive, other Ministers and legislators will leave for New Delhi tomorrow.
It may be recalled that MLC Ashok Khajuria, MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma and Thupstan Chewang are other NE members from the State.
