NEW DELHI: A BJP member today demanded reservation of five seats in the Lok Sabha and one in the Rajya Sabha for residents of Gilgit and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) regions.
Nishikant Dubey said the state legislature of Jammu and Kashmir has 25 seats vacant for the territories under illegal occupation of Pakistan.
“I request for reservation of five Lok Sabha seats and one Rajya Sabha seat for residents of Gilgit and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) regions,” he said during the Zero Hour.
He also demanded sympathetic view by the Government on granting citizenship to people coming from that region. (AGENCIES)
