BJP Migrant Cell for compensation to damaged houses, temples

JAMMU, Oct 9: Migrant Cell BJP in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of Bharat Bushan Gosani has demanded compensation for the damaged houses and temples of Hindus in Kashmir Valley due to recent floods.
The meeting also urged Government to stop the encroachment of Hindu shrines by land mafia in Valley. It expressed concern over unprovoked shelling from across the border and killing of innocent people. Gosani said that no one can understand the pain and agony of border people more than KPs who have faced the same problem 25 years back through the hands of Pak sponsored terrorism.
He demanded adequate ex-gratia for victims of shelling from across the border and allotment of five marlas of land for their temporary settlement in safer places. The meeting also demanded ban on screening of film Haider which has denigrated the ancient Sun temple Martand.
