JAMMU, Dec 31: Former minister and senior National Conference leader, Ajay Sadhotra has alleged that BJP’s `double engine Sarkar’ in Jammu and Kashmir has made 2021 year of disappointment for the people, especially youth by pushing J&K towards identity, culture, jobs and land crisis instead of pulling out from this crisis.
He pointed out that as people of Ladakh have been given resident certificates instead of Domicile Certificates.
Addressing a meeting of Block Committee Mandal held under the Chairmanship of Bishan Dass, Block president Mandal and organized by Lajpal Bhagat, senior vice president at Suanjana in Marh area today, Sadhotra alleged that job security is being eroded under the garb of holistic development by signing MoU in Real Estate summit.
Govt should have further strengthened the provisions of guarantee to provide jobs to local youth and jobs should not be of only labour category but at all levels. In all the private sectors 90 % jobs be reserved for local youth in order to redress the genuine demands of the common youth of J&K.
Sadhotra said BJP double engine Govt in J&K has brought unemployment at the level of 21% against National average of 7 %. This steep rise in unemployment speaks of anti- youth policies of the BJP.
He further said that BJP in 2021 also gave unprecedented price hike of essentials and people especially women folk are badly hit by price rise as it has become very difficult for our mothers and sisters to run their kitchens.
Sadhotra appealed to the BJP Govt to give resident certificate instead of Domicile Certificate to the youth. He further demanded statehood before election so that genuine urges and aspirations of the people could be fulfilled.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Raghbhir Singh District president Rural Jammu, vice president Baru Ram, Block senior vice president Khajur Raj, secretary Mohan Lal and Ankush Sharma- Youth president Block Mandal.
