KATHUA, Nov 6: The BJP leaders and personal staff of Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh organized a function on the occasion of his birthday here, today and distributed school bags, stationery items among the students and shawls and blankets among the old ladies.
On the occasion a hawan was also performed for the longevity of Union Minister. The function was attended by BJP and BJYM activists, Panches and Sarpanches as well as prominent people of the area.
BJP district president, Prem Nath Dogra, chairman Kathua Municipal Council (KMC) , Naresh Sharma, State secretary BJP, Raghunandan Babloo, senior leader of the party Janak Bharti, vice chairperson, KMC, Rekha Gupta, BJYM leader Gaurav and others.
The programme was coordinated by Bharat Sharma personal staff member of Dr Jitendra Singh.
On the occasion speakers highlighted the achievements of Union Minister and threw light on his role in development of his constituency. They said Kathua -Doda Constituency will emerge as one of the developed constituencies of the country with the present pace of development works going on in the constituency.
