KULGAM, Sept 25: BJP district spokesperson and Sarpanch, Chowgam in Kulgam district, Vijay Raina inaugurated two foot bridges in Panchayat Halqa Chowgam -A today.
He was also accompanied by Assistant Development Commissioner, Kulgam Mohammad Imran Khan and prominent people of the area. The construction of the two foot bridges on river Lamri was a long pending demand of the people of that area which was fulfilled by BJP leader Vijay Raina. The expenditure incurred on the construction of these footbridges was from the Capex budget Plan.
On seeing the sincere efforts, youth of the area met Vijay Raina and highlighted the dire need of playground in their area. He promised youth of the Halqa, Panchayat Chowgam-that all steps will be taken to carve out play ground for play games. Raina said that he has also met the Revenue authorities in this regard and urged them to allot the land for the same as development of a play ground in the area was a long pending demand of the youth.
Keeping in view the demand of Kashmiri Pandits of Halqa Panchayat Chowgam, Raina met Revenue authorities for constructing a wall of cremation ground which was in haphazard condition. He also visited the Anganwadi Centres and took stock of the working there and made some suggestions to the staff regarding efficient working.
