JAMMU, Oct 16: The BJP Displaced Unit has taken serious exception to the style of functioning of SSRB saying that the migrant youth are deliberately being asked to appear for written tests for the State cadre posts in Kashmir Valley to discourage them from taking part in these tests.
The president of BJP Kashmir Displaced Unit T N Bhat took up the issue with Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh after the migrant candidates brought the issue in the notice of BJP leaders. Mr Bhat sought immediate intervention of Dr Singh urging him to issue instructions to the SSRB not to keep the centers for the examination of written tests for State cadre posts of migrant candidates in Kashmir Valley as they face many hardships of lodging and boarding there.
He said a brother sister duo died last year who had also gone to Kashmir to appear in an interview there in a road mishap. Moreover these candidates face accommodation problem there so the interviews and written tests of these candidates be conducted at Jammu, they added,
Dr Singh assured the BJP leader that he will take up the issue with SSRB chairperson. The BJP leaders also took up the issue with MLC Surinder Ambardar.
Mr Bhat took exception to the authorities for harassing migrant candidates who apply under State cadre or other posts saying that these candidates are straightway asked that these posts are not for you as migrants have to apply for PM package only.
