BJP Kashmir holds series of meetings

JAMMU, Aug 27: Continuing its series of unit meetings, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir (displaced persons) held series of meetings at Jagti and Durga Nagar under the chairmanship of its president T N Bhat.
The meetings were organised by BJP activists T K Dhar and M L Bhat. Addressing the meetings the speakers highlighted the plight of displaced community and castigated the Government for its failure in alleviating their sufferings. The meetings also criticized the cumbersome procedure with regard to the voter registration of the displaced community and resolved to take up the issue with the Election Commission for simplifying and streamlining the procedure so as to enable the displaced community to exercise their franchise.
During the function leading businessman and president AIKS, Moti Koul and Veena Gurtoo who have recently joined the party were felicitated for their contribution towards the community.
The meeting was also attended by Virender Kuchroo general secretary of the organization, D N Kissu, P L Raina, P L Sewadeshi, MS Babita Koul, C L Koul, Prof G L Koul, H L Pandita, Thaplu Ji and others.
