JAMMU, May 21: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu district South will launch a month-long “Maha-Jan Sampark Abhiyan” from May 30-June 30 to mark the party’s nine years in power.
In this connection, the BJP Jammu district South under the leadership of its district president, Rekha Mahajan will launch massive outreach programmes for one month in the constituencies Bahu and RS Pura at Mandal as well as booth level.
BJP senior leaders namely former Dy CM, Kavinder Gupta, former Minister, Satpal Sharma, Parliamentary in charge of Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan, Harinder Gupta, BJP district president, Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan, Prabhari Jammu South, Ayodhya Gupta, DDC, Prof Garu Ram Bhagat, Vidhya Mottan, former MLC, Vikram Randhawa, former district president, Vinay Gupta, Rajeev Charak, Shailja Gupta, district general secretaries, Akash Chopra and Pushpinder Charak, councillors, district office bearers, Mandal presidents, Morcha presidents, Cells convenor were present on the occasion. This was stated by party leaders in a meeting here, today.
Kavinder Gupta while elaborating on the significance of Jan Sampark Abhiyan, said the nine years of Modi Sarkaar have seen India rising and cementing its position as “one of the strongest and most resilient countries in the world”. “India is now steadily venturing on the path to becoming a superpower,” Kavinder said.
Satpal Sharma pointed out various achievements of the Modi Government and implored BJP workers to make the people of the J&K aware of the same. He urged party leaders to work on the ground level and enlighten masses about the public-friendly schemes.
Harinder Gupta informed the primary objective of this campaign is to encourage and aware people of the Modi Government’s achievements in the last nine years. He said on June 25, the party will also organize programmes to hear the Mann Ki Baat programme at booth level across the country and will later screen a documentary on the emergency which was imposed in 1977 by Indira Gandhi.
In her presidential address, Rekha Mahajan notified that the party would soon launch ‘Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ in Jammu district South. The duration of the contact programme will be one month, which will commence on May 30 and will continue till June 30.
Former MLC Vikram Randhawa and Ayodhya Gupta also shared their ideas and futuristic plans regarding “Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan” .
The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Akash Chopra and the vote of thanks was delivered by Pushpinder Charak.
