BJP holds Samarpan Divas workshop

JAMMU, Feb 4: BJP State president & MLA Sat Sharma, along with State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State general secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh, Pawan Khajuria and Harinder Gupta and MoS Cooperatives Tsering Dorjey inaugurated workshop on Samarpan Divas.  The day long workshop was divided into different sessions on specific subjects which were addressed by senior leaders.
Sat Sharma, in his inaugural address said that party has dedicated this year to Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay and it is celebrating it as Birth Centenary Year, wherein a number of programmes have been chalked out for this year. The life of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay has been a source of inspiration for us, he added.
He said whatever Pandit Ji did in his life of 52 years was rare and could not be done in even 52 births. “Had there been 1-2 more leaders like Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay, there would have been a revolution in the Indian society”, Sat said and added that the economic philosophy of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay was highly appreciated even by the then governments. His philosophy on Antodya, Integral Humanism too speaks of his concern for the socially and economically weaker and downtrodden sections of the society.
Ashok Kaul spoke on the philosophy of Antodya and said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay wanted that the last person in the ladder or the chain gets the benefits of growth & development. The initiatives taken by PM Narendra Modi led government to ensure that there is no disparity or discrimination with poor, downtrodden people, women etc are in line with the Antodya. He said that a number of welfare schemes have been launched aimed at ending the social and economic inequality in the society by reaching the last man.
He said that the party will organize ‘Samarpan Divas’ programme on February 11 and later ‘’Jan Sampark Yatra’ will be taken out in every district at Panchayat level from February. 15 to March 5.
Dr. Narinder Singh spoke on the economic philosophy of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay and said that he believed in decentralization of political as well as economic powers. He pleaded for ensuring the economic and social development of each individual even that one who is standing last in the row which he called Antodya.
Pawan Khajuria threw light on the life of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhaya and narrated number of hardships faced by him as a student, his simple life and rising to the posts of national general secretary and national president of Jana Sangh.
BJP State spokesperson Prof. Virender Gupta and Harinder Gupta also spoke on ‘Samarpan Divas’.
