BJP holds Panchayati Cell meeting to discuss strategy

JAMMU, Sept 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a meeting here, today to review the party’s preparedness for the ensuing Panchayat elections in the State.
The meeting was chaired by BJP State president, Ravinder Raina (MLA) which was also addressed by MP (Lok Sabha), Jugal Kishore Sharma and State general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul.
The meeting was attended by the senior leaders from the various Panchayats of Jammu region and it held the threadbare discussions on all the issues related to the Panchayat polls in the State.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, focused that the State has now entered the phase of continuous elections which will continue for a long period now. He said that although the process is energy consuming but the BJP worker is too enthusiastic for the whole set of election phases. He said that it is only due to the dedicated efforts of the Central and State BJP leadership that has pressed hard for these elections to strengthen the lowest level of democracy. He asked them to work hard to achieve the BJP’s target of “Panchayat to Parliament”.
Jugal, said that although the Panchayat elections are to be contested on non-party basis, but still the party leaders have a great responsibility to choose and support the right candidate with party ideology. He asked them to seek the ground reports from all the Panchayats to form an effective strategy well before the time.
Ashok Kaul, in his address, sought the information about various regions going into the Panchayat elections. He discussed all the issues threadbare with the participants of the meeting and sought their feedback on them. He asked them to revisit their already existing strategy and discuss it within the party fold. He also assured them of all organizational support during the first phase of polling.
