BJP holds meeting of district, Morcha presidents, Prabharis

JAMMU, Mar 9: BJP State president Sat Sharma, today said that since day one, the focus of BJP Government at the Centre has been on development, welfare of all the sections, bridging the urban-rural gap, strengthening nationalist forces, eradicating corruption and every scheme and projects taken into hand by Modi Government is aimed at fulfilling these objectives. In order to familiarize the people living in rural and far-flung areas with the schemes launched by Narendra Modi Government for their social and economic upliftment, the BJP undertook 20 days ‘Jan Sampark Yatra’ at Panchayat level in every district of the State.
Sat Sharma was addressing a meeting of district, Morcha presidents and their Prabharis besides Yatra incharges at Trikuta Nagar Office. It was chaired by State president & MLA Sat Sharma, along with State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul and State general secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh and Pawan Khajuria.
The meeting was convened to seek details related to the recently concluded ‘Jan Sampark Yatra’ and ‘Samarpan Divas’ programmes. It also discussed programmes to be organized while celebrating the birth centenary year of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay, which include ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ once in a week at Mandal level, youth awareness rallies on de-addiction, sports events, constitution of self help groups by females and the foundation day of the party which will be on April 06.
The meeting also sought the feed back from these leaders the yatras also asked them to gear up for the bye elections for two Lok Sabha elections in Kashmir Valley and Panchayat elections in the State.
Sat Sharma said while on one hand, the yatra provided an opportunity to the party ministers, senior leaders, MLAs, MLCs to have direct interaction with the people at their doorsteps in rural areas, on the other, the populace was briefed about the numerous schemes launched for the rural areas in particular.
Ashok Kaul, while receiving individual report of each district and Morcha, asked the district and Morcha presidents to elucidate about the public response and the experience gained by the party activists while leading the ‘Jan Sampark Yatra’ in their respective districts. He said that the most encouraging development of the Yatra has been that the people appreciated BJP as the only political party which knock their doors even when there are no elections.
State general secretary Dr. Narinder Singh said that the feedback received from the Panchayats indicate that there was great enthusiasm among the rural people on yatra.
State general secretary Pawan Khajuria said that the Yatra induced a sense of confidence among the party activists and developed their good rapport with the people.
During the meeting, BJP State spokesperson Arun Gupta gave presentation on modernization of the working of party at district, mandal and booth level.
