BJP Govt fails to provide basic amenities to people: Javed Rana

RAJOURI, Apr 30: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Government at the Centre has failed to provide basic amenities to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
This was stated by senior National Conference leader and Party’s President Pir Panjal zone while addressing a meeting of office bearers of Zonal team of Rajouri Poonch districts.
He discussed the political scenario of Jammu and Kashmir and said that the miseries of common masses across Jammu and Kashmir have increased manifold as the present government has miserably failed to provide basic amenities to the people of hilly terrains. He stated that the Government has failed to provide uninterrupted power supply during the whole month of Ramazan which holds special significance for the people of this region irrespective of their community affiliations.
Lamenting that with already onset of hot summer days, the Power Department in the hilly regions is resorting to frequent unscheduled power cuts, Javed Rana said that the people of these regions have to bear maximum brunt of these power cuts. Due to power failure, people have also facing huge scarcity of water supply, he added.
The former MLA asked office bearers of Pir Panjal Zone to set example in public service and remain available 24X7 to highlight the problems being faced by the people amidst non-availability of basic amenities like power and water.
The senior NC leader laid stress upon the party workers to highlight the policies and programmes of National Conference and make all possible efforts in strengthening the party base across Jammu and Kashmir.
Javed Rana asked the LG administration to ensure regular power and water supplies so that people would get a sigh of relief amidst this scorching heat.
Among those who were present in the meeting include DDC CP Naseem Liaquat, DP Shafait Khan, Muzzafer Iqbal Khan, Niram Singh, Manzoor Malik, Shafqat Mir, Maqbool Kasana and Ch Riaz, BDC Doongi.
