JAMMU, June 6: Hitting hard the BJP and its state leadership for cheating the people of Jammu, JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla today said that the BJP has lost the moral right to go to Jammu people after betrayal after betrayal.
Interacting with aggrieved people of Qasim Nagar, former minister took a dig at BJP leadership for celebrating eight years, eight deceits and a failed government in order to highlight the failures and performance of the Modi Government on various fronts, including economy, foreign policy, communal harmony, inflation, farmers’ income, national security, welfare for the Scheduled castes, Scheduled tribes, and other backward classes. He alleged that the ruling government’s promise of ‘achche din’ (good days) was meant only for themselves or a selected group of industrialists and capitals whose wealth had increased.
“Unemployment is high and has broken record of 45 years while inflation is rising especially of essential commodities, petrol-diesel prices are historic high and Rupee against Dollar is historic low, the foreign reserve is also dipping so the country is suffering from the economic crisis,” said Bhalla.
He alleged eight years of BJP rule has made the country miserable. The countrymen have only seen the scene of devastation in eight years. The BJP government has thrown the country into devastation. He said that “deteriorating economic condition and rising unemployment” have become the most pressing problems before the nation.
Bhalla said Gandhian values have become more relevant in the present and there was a need to rise above parochial, sectoral and other identities.”It is time for us to stand in the name of humanity against ideas of divisiveness and nefarious designs of perpetuating identity-based hatred by destructive forces in order to save this nation. Our deteriorating economic condition and rising unemployment have become the most pressing problems before the nation. Anti-people policies of the government have made the everyday life of common citizen miserable,” he said.
“There is anger among people. BJP has played with the sentiments of the people who voted them to power. People are not happy with their policies and the government has proved to be a failure. We have taken to the streets against governance deficit, lack of development and failure of the government to deliver on the promises made to the people of the Jammu and Kashmir,” Bhalla said.
