JAMMU, Jan 3: To take stock of the Party’s organizational activities at grass roots level in Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency , State BJP organized one-day “ Karyakarta Sammelan”, (workers meet) which was attended by State Office bearers, Senior leaders, MLAs, Presidents of District and Morcha, Cells Incharge and Convenors.
BJP National general secretary (Org.) Ram Lal was the chief guest on the occasion and the Sammelan among others was attended by Member of Parliament & State Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, State president Jugal Kishore Sharma, Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria, National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Singh and Shamsher Singh Manhas and MLAs—Sukhnandan Kumar and Sham Choudhary.
The visiting leaders were also felicitated on the occasion by the Party. They were also presented a special issue of party’s J&K State monthly magazine titled “BJP Update” by its Editor Rajnish Jain.
Addressing the sammelan, Ram Lal said that the upcoming general election is very crucial for the future of the country and it is the fundamental duty of the Party cadre to fan out across the State to expose the misdeeds of the Congress-led UPA Government at Centre and State coalition before the public so that the Party captures maximum number of Lok Sabha seats in the State.
He said that best way to make optimum use of the prevailing BJP and Narendra Modi wave is to further strengthen and activate the organizational machinery so that the Party is able to galvanize not only its cadre but also the general masses who are looking forward to the day when Mr Modi would assume the highest executive office of the country. He also sought information regarding constitution of booth level committees and nomination of booth level agents and urged the Partymen that the work should be completed within the shortest time.
He urged the Party workers to go amongst the masses with the aim of doing work at grass root level under the nation-wide adopted slogan “zameeni kaam”.
Avinash Rai Khanna said that like other parts of the country, the BJP activists and supporters in J&K are upbeat and feeling enthusiastic after the announcement of Narendra Modi as Party’s Prime Ministerial candidate. At the same time, he said, it would be suicidal for the Party workers to be complacent as the Congress and similar other fake secular outfits are working overtime in spreading disinformation and gimmickry to put obstacles in the BJP’s march towards getting the majority in the Parliament. He said the emergence of Mr Modi as the country’s PM is a historic necessity and it is the duty of each one of us not to rest till the BJP achieves its goal.
Jugal Kishore Sharma dwelled on the acts of omission and commission of mis-governance of the NC-led Coalition Government in the State and the harm this coalition has done to the State polity, economy and society and to the national cause as whole by pursuing single mindedly divisive and communal policies. He said because of the NC-Congress gross misrule, almost all social segments in the State are feeling disappointed and are suffering and in particular there is extreme discontent and disaffection among the people of Jammu and Ladakh owing to the anti-people and discriminatory policies of the Government.
Earlier, State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul introduced the subject matter of the sammelan and also briefed about the forthcoming organizational programmes.
The proceedings of the sammelan were conducted by Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge Yudhvir Sethi.
