JAMMU, Feb 7: BJP leader and Member Core Committee, Chaman Lal Kanthia today demanded compensation to border and LoC people who could not cultivate their land near Zero Line.
In a statement issued here today he said that the people be also paid compensation for the mines laid in the fields as they have suffered a heavy loss on account of the same.
Highlighting the problems of unemployed youth of Khour block in Akhnoor tehsil he expressed grave concern over their plight and callousness of Government towards them.
He regretted that the Government failed to keep its promise of confirming the EV teachers after completing their 10 year service on June 24 last year.
He said these youth were promised to be regularized by June 2013. He said in comparison to that the EV teachers of Kashmir valley were regularized four months back.
