JAMMU, Feb 19: BJP Displaced District organized a Jan Samparak Yatra under the leadership of its president Chand Jee Bhat at Durga Nagar. It was organized by former Corporator and Party leader Sheela Handoo and Mandal president Makhan Lal Bhat.
In his address Chand Jee Bhat said that BJP is committed to safe, honourable and dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits to Valley. He said right from day one of mass exodus the BJP has taken various initiatives for the welfare and temporary settlement of Pandits in different places outside the Valley. He demanded that the recent resolution passed by State Legislature in this regard must be implemented with sincere efforts and the opposition members should support the Government in this regard.
P L Dhar general secretary highlighted the problems faced by the residents of different camps. He said the leakage in sewerage pipes creates panic among the residents at Jagti. He accused the Relief Organization of its failure in taking appropriate steps to plug leakages.
J L Pandita vice president also spoke on the occasion and asked the community members to cast their votes enmass during coming elections to two Lok Sabha seats in Valley. Ravinder Raina another vice president highlighted the problems of unemployed youth and demanded that package employees be treated on duty till complete normalcy returns in Valley.
BJP State vice president Moti Kaul also spoke on the occasion.
Ram Krishan Koul, vice president, Bharat Bushan Gosani general secretary, Chaman Lal Pandita secretary, Sweety Koul, Neeru Zutshi, Mandal president Makhan Lal Bhat, Vijay Raina, Sunil Ji Bhat, Bansi Lal Bhat , Rmesh Koul, Subash Khera and Satish Bhat were present.
