RAJOURI, Nov 1: BJP has strongly criticized the State Government for conducting aerial survey of Baltal, holy cave route yesterday to please the hardliner Hurriyat leader Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani and other separatists from the Valley.
Talking to media persons here today BJP State secretary Vivodh Gupta demanded immediate construction of road to holy cave failing which the party will launch nation-wide protests.
He accused the State Government of bowing before the separatists and urged it not to bow before their pressure and go ahead with the construction of road.
Mr Gupta said it is strange that Government succumbed before Geelani who stated that he has proof that the work on the construction of road to holy cave via Baltal has started and they took media persons to have the aerial survey of the track to satisfy Geelani and other separatists who are acting as tools in the hands of Pakistan. The Chief Minister should have not attached such an importance to Geelani and other separatists as this way the Government was giving legitimacy to them, he added.
Terming the Chief Minister’s step in organizing the aerial survey to track as shocking, Gupta said this shows that Chief Minister is helpless before separatist Hurriyat leadership who is not in a position to get Apex Court directives implemented.
