BJP compromised interests of Jammu people: Vikram

JAMMU, Aug 27: District Congress Committee, Jammu (Urban), president Vikram Malhotra today said that BJP compromised the interests of Jammu people for the sake of power.
While interacting with the people of Ward 35, 37 and 38 in Janipur and Ploura area today, DCC Jammu president said that BJP has befooled the people of Jammu after coming to power. They also made false and hollow promises with the people of Jammu who had pinned high hopes on them.
He flayed the previous Government for its role for ignoring the basic issues of the people and said that during recent rains and floods they have suffered a lot. He demanded restoration work of lanes and drains where rain has created havoc.
The DCC members interacted with the ward Committee workers and local residents of Ward No. 34 Janipur North, 35 Janipur South, 37 Janipur West and 38 Ploura to evolve a general consensus on the selection of candidates for the Municipal elections. All the participants highly appreciated the efforts and selection of candidates procedure evolved. They highlighted the local issues of electric, water and ration supply.
They criticized the worst performance of BJP in Coalition Government and stated that the BJP leaders cheated Jammu people with polarization and false promises. They assured full support to Congress.
Prominent amongst others who accompanied included Dr Ramakant Khajuria, ML Malagar, Pawan Dev Singh, Bhagat Ram Bhagta, Gourav Chopra, Joginder Singh Chib, Ranjit Singh Bahu, Pt Kasturi Lal, Vijay Bhagat, SHS Baggi, Som Dutt Sharma, Shiv Raj Singh, Surinder Bhagat and Ms Shivani Bhagat.
