BJP committed to ‘Naari Shakti’: Priya

JAMMU, Mar 30: Former Minister, spokesperson BJP and senior women leader of the party,  Priya Sethi today said that BJP is “completely and comprehensively” committed to “Naari Shakti” (women power), which is a significant part of the New India vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
While speaking at the rally at Ward No.15 of Jammu East former Minister said that “India in last five years is moving forward from women development to women-led development and for BJP “women first” is the mantra of party.
She was accompanied by Mahila Morcha leaders, Rekha Mahajan, Savita Anand, Indu Gupta, Suman Raina, Kamla Sharma, Varsha, and large number of Karykartyas.
Sethi added that PM, Modi always says that “Mahila Shakti” (woman power) is important and this is the reason various schemes were launched by his Government which has directly helped the women folk in the country.
The women welfare schemes like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, One Stop Centre Scheme, Ujawla Scheme, Maternity leave has been extended from 12 to 26 weeks for working women. Under Stand Up India loans have been extended to women entrepreneurs, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Jan Dhan Yogna  and Swadhar Grah initiative is helping women to create a supportive institutional framework catering to their primary needs in difficult situations” she asserted.
“It is for the first time in history that so many women oriented schemes have been launched in these five years and for BJP whether it is the organization or the Government, or framing of programmes, it is women first,” She added.
Priya added that not only schemes for women, for the issue of security of women in the country the Prime Minister has stressed on the need for instilling the “fear of law” and the  provisions of the IPC, CrPC and POCSO were made more stringent by his Government to instill that fear.
“Those committing rape of innocent children can be hanged. Necessary steps have been taken for time-bound investigation and fast track courts have been set up for such crimes,” She added.
BJP leader appealed the women folk present on the occasion that they should leave no stone unturned to make people aware of these schemes so that the people will get know the works by the BJP Government.
BJP women leader asked the Mahila Karykartas to appeal to everyone to join India’s journey to progress by voting in favour of all six candidates of Bharatiya Janata Party in J&K.
