JAMMU, June 13: Yudhvir Sethi, vice-president and in-charge “Sewa Hi Sangathan Abhiyaan”, BJP J&K, along with Jaidev Rajwal, convenor social media, BJP, J&K and Parveen Kerni, Mandal president of the party distributed packed food among the attendants of people suffering from COVID pandemic at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
The distribution of food packets are being carried under the ‘Sewa Hi Sangathan Abhiyaan’ launched by the party at the national level.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that the party has taken a pledge to stand by the people affected by the corona disease and the consequent lockdowns. He said that BJP has left no stone unturned to ensure all the basic facilities and essential items to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“India under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has fought the most successful battle against Coronavirus in the world, and with the beginning of the vaccination drive from June 21, the country has taken the fight against the pandemic to a final stage,” Sethi said, adding that the BJP Government at the Centre stands committed to ensure safety and security of people especially in terms of health in the prevailing pandemic conditions.
Sethi appealed to party men to remain in touch with local administration and render all possible help to people in this hour of crisis. He also asked them to monitor shortfalls on various counts especially faced by poor and under-privileged sections and apprise the administration and party on regular basis.
Expressing concern over the Coronavirus pandemic, Sethi said in these testing times, people need to cooperate with administration and should stay at home. He appealed to the people not to come out of their homes to contain the spread of virus, as without cooperation of citizens it would be hard to achieve desired results besides making Jammu free from COVID-19.
