JAMMU, Apr 3: Giving pace to development activities, Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas today inaugurated Paloura Park which was in dilapidated condition by giving a face lift to it. He reiterated that BJP is committed for holistic development of State and started many development projects including Centre sponsored schemes. He also laid the foundation stone of upgradation of lane in ward no 60 of Paloura.
After inaugurating the Paloura Park at Ward No. 60 near Raina Hr Secondary School, Mr Manhas said this park was in dilapidated condition and previous regime never showed any interest to develop it for general public. He congratulated the officers of Jammu Municipality and Floriculture Department for completion of this park in stipulated time.
Manhas said this park is completed with an estimated cost of Rs 31 lac and some additional development works would be carried out with approximate cost of Rs 45 lakh. He said this park will cater the demand of morning and evening walkers as people face lot of hardship, due to lack of proper park or field in this area. Later he planted a sapling of plant in the premises of park. On this occasion Joint Commissioner, Jammu Municipality RS Jamwal, KK Sharma, Director Floriculture, Parmod Sharma, Executive Engineer JMC were also present.
MP (RS) Shamsher Singh Manhas assured people of Paloura and adjoining areas that he will remain available for general public for development purposes. Some development works are completed and some are in pipeline, he added. He also laid down the foundation stone of upgradation of lane and drain from Paloura park to Mohalla Ramdasian in Ward No 60 of Jammu Municipality.
Prominent people of Paloura thanked MP (RS) Shamsher Singh Manhas for his contribution and completion of project in time frame manner. On this occasion Ex Sarpanch Balbir Singh Manhas, BJP leader Bahadur Singh, Kuldeep Magotra, Sushma Manhas, Balwant Singh Manhas, Uttam S Manhas , Bishan Sharma. Ashok Chib, Joginder Chib, Raghuvir Singh and prominent people of area were present.
