BJP announces new team

JAMMU, Jan 18: The newly elected State BJP president, Jugal Kishore Sharma today announced his team of office bearers, Morcha heads, Prabharis, State executive members, special invitees, cell convenors and Morcha presidents.
As per a party handout issued here Mr Sharma appointed senior party leaders Chander Parkash Ganga, Col (retd) Uttam Singh, Usha Choudhary, Sakina Bano, Vivodh Gupta and Ramesh Arora as party vice presidents while former Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Kavinder Gupta, ex MLA Bali Bhagat and Rajiv Singh Jasrotia were appointed as general secretaries. Ashok Kaul will continue to function as party general secretary (organizational).
National Executive Member, Dr Jitendra Singh will continue as chief spokesperson of the State while Dr Nirmal Kamal, Lalit Moza and Sanjeev Sharma will be state spokespersons.
Mamta Singh, Haleema, Rajni Sethi, Harinder Gupta, Munish Sharma, S Charanjit Singh Khalsa, Pawan Khajuria and Er Ghulam Ali Khatana were nominated as party office secretaries.
Chander Mohan Gupta was nominated as treasurer. He will be assisted by Parmodh Kapahi. Balbir Ram Rattan will continue as State press secretary. He will be assisted by Ashok Khajuria (junior).
Aseem Gupta and Arun Chibber were appointed as State publicity secretaries while Rajinder Sharma and Naresh Dogra were appointed as State office secretaries.
Ravinder Raina was appointed president Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Priya Sethi was appointed as new president of Mahila Morcha while Anusuchit Jati Morcha will be headed by Surinder Bhagat and Mushtaq Noorabadi will head the Muslim Morcha of the party.
Kissan leader Karan Singh will continue to head Party’s Kissan Morcha for another term while Som Raj Khajuria will be incharge Udhampur-Kathua Parliamentary Constituency and Yudhvir Sethi will be incharge Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency.
Satish Sharma was nominated as Prabhari BJP Morchas while Sat Sharma (CA) will be Prabhari BJP Cells.
The handout said that two nominees from Kashmir and Ladakh regions for the posts of state vice presidents will be announced later.
