JAMMU, Sept 10: BJP J&K Unit announced list of collection centre in Jammu for collection of food packets to be disturbed among stranded people at J&K. This was announced by Prof Nirmal Singh, Election Campaign Committee while talking to media persons here today.
He said in the hour of crisis people in the State are requested to prepare dry packets of ration including biscuits, dry fruit, breads, flour poories along with pickle, Kulcha and any kind of other dry eatables so that it reaches the affected people in good conditions.
The packets have to be delivered at collection centers, said Prof Singh, adding the dry eatables are being collected for the time being and other relief material will be collected later.
He said on the directives of Central leadership the J&K BJP has decided to depute a team to Kashmir to assess on spot situation of the damages and relief work being conducted there. Since a lot of funds are being pumped in into the State to look into the urgent needs of the affected people, the team has been advised to look into this aspect also.
The members of the team included Ramesh Arora, State vice president, Ashok Kaul organization general secretary and Arun Kumar Gupta State spokesperson.
