Birthday of Zeashta Mata celebrated with religious fervour, gaiety

SRINAGAR, May 27: The birthday of Zeashta Mata was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety today.
In this connection a Maha Yagya was solemnized by Zeashta Devi Prabandhak Committee , Zeathyar Srinagar near here in the shrine complex of Mata today.
A large number of devotees drawn from different parts of country participated in the function, and paid obeisance to the Goddess. The Maha Yagya started yesterday with the flag hoisting which was followed by the inauguration of the newly renovated Hawan shalla and newly constructed road to holy shrine of Mata.
On this occasion the third edition of six monthly magazine Zeashta Sandesh and Kashmiri Bhajan mala titled Gudnich Venath written by Reeta Bhat were also released.
The function was attended by Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta, Deputy Chief Minster, Dr Nirmal Singh, BJP State president Sat Sharma, some legislators besides, Vinod Kaul Commissioner Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Science and Technology, Bimal Tickoo, Development Commissioner Works, Prof Neerja Mattoo, Ashok Kaul (org) general secretary BJP, M K Dhar, P A to Chief Minister, R K Bhat, Commissioner Tax Planning and Prof R L Talashi.
The devotees not only from Valley but Jammu and other parts of country attended the function. The Committee had made elaborate arrangements for the devotees.
