JAMMU, Sept 10: Birla International School here organized a two day In-Service Training Programme for teachers of the school.
Purpose of the programme was to train and build capacity of teachers of the School.
The inaugural session of the programme started with welcome address by Aparana Kohli, Principal of the School and she highlighted the importance of In-Service Training Programme for teachers to enhance their academic growth and pedagogical competencies to meet the diverse challenges of the classroom.
She further said that capacity building of teachers is normally neglected, which may result in unpleasant educational outcomes.
“To address this gap, In-Service Training Programmes are essential for updating knowledge, as well as understanding contemporary nuances of education,” she maintained.
Commenting on the programme, Moushmi (Head Academics, Birla Team Mumbai) and Bhavana Diman (Senior Manager Pre-Primary, Birla Team Mumbai) said: “We at Birla Education Academy believe that it is important for educational institutions to train their teaching staff so that they are equipped with right skills and knowledge.”
The topics covered in the training programme included Principles of Teaching Learning, Classroom Management, Growth Mindset for Educators, Power of Communication in Motivating Children, Collaborative Team Work for Total School Excellence etc.
