NEW DELHI, Nov 23: Binani Cement Ltd, India’s leading cement maker and a part of the 1.6 billion dollars conglomerate Braj Binani Group, today announced the appointment of Jotirmoy Ghose as its new Managing Director (MD).
Mr Jotirmoy is an industry veteran, known for his project management and market expansion acumen. He carries a rich experience of 25 years in the areas of operations, business development, market strategy, project execution, the company said in a statement.
A graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Mr Ghose, who also holds a MBA degree from University of Kent, has been associated with cement and building materials industry for the past 15 years, it said.
As a strategist, he has a number of mergers, acquisitions, execution of Greenfield projects and market development initiatives at credit across the markets of Kenya, Nigeria, the UK, Kazakhstan, Australia, India and the UAE, it added.
His appointment has come at a time when Binani Cement is expanding its footprint not only in India, but across key global markets of the world including China, the statement added.
