JAMMU, Aug 6: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bimla Luthra today inaugurated Cutting and Tailoring Center at village Khari in Block Bishnah.
While addressing the gathering, Bimla Luthra impressed upon women belonging to weaker sections to come forward and take benefit from various schemes introduced by the Government for their empowerment and economic development.
She said that the Social Welfare Department is assisting women to grow as useful members of the society by supporting various projects aimed at improving their economic conditions.
Later, MLA also held a meeting with the women workers of National Conference (NC) and listened to their problems including scarcity of drinking water, electricity, old age pension and widow pension.
While speaking, Bimla Luthra apprised the women workers about the various schemes introduced by the Government, for the welfare of people.
Bimla assured the people that all their genuine demands will be redressed.
Among others present were Veena Oberoi, Bharti, Prito, Radha, Meenu, Raju Panch and Roop Lal.
